To be a centre of excellence in;
- providing Islamic education,
- promoting community cohesion
- and addressing community needs.
The Cheadle Muslim Association (CMA) was set up fourteen years ago to serve the needs of the growing Muslim population in the south Manchester area.
The aim of the CMA is to enable people to meet and therefore develop a strong community bond through socialising within an Islamic environment. This will provide a platform where people from all areas will be able to learn about Islam and discuss issues of concern.
The CMA is also is also recognised by the Stockport Council as the official body representing the Muslim community of Cheadle and its surrounding areas.
In addition, the CMA works through CMA Welfar Trust, which is a registered charity with a board of community members and is governed by a constitution which is approved by the charities commission.
