Hafiz Salim Astewani
Hafiz Salim Astewani was born in the blessed land of Damascus, Syria, where he learnt Qur'an, Tajweed and Shari'ah. He arrived in UK during 1983,
studied computer engineering and now owns a successful business in Property Management.
Hafiz Salim Astewani is a founding member
and trustee of both the new 'British Muslim Heritage Centre' and the 'Manchester Islamic School Trust'. He also, previously,
served as the Imam and Khateeb of Didsbury mosque in the early 1990's.
He is currently the head Imam of Cheadle mosque and at present resides in Gatley along with his wife and five children.
